A table lamp inspired by my childhood fears, nightmares, and my mom. The Penny features a solid wood base hand painted with non-toxic paint and coated in a vegan finish. The power cord is cloth-coated in a complementary color to the base. This is a limited edition piece, there is only one available in green.

studio apotroes exists to fashion furniture and materials that are conscious, alluring, and accessible

studio apotroes is an experiment and exploration into what it means to be a furniture company dedicated to sustainability in the 21st century. We marry different design and production methods to craft heirloom quality furniture for customers. All pieces are made using biodegradable or recyclable materials like locally harvested wood, glass, metal, and natural fibers. We work with local producers to source materials for studio apotroes objects. You will never see plastics at studio apotroes, but you may see experimental materials using unconventional raw or recycled materials (think invasive or fallen wood, recycled glass, banana fabrics, or oyster concrete). We are a small design studio that wants customers to love and cherish each piece they bring into their home so production times are longer than convention.
