Southern California artist, Kristine Brookshire, is a mixed media painter who finds inspiration in California’s beautiful and diverse surroundings.
Kristine has the unique ability to fuse skilled drawings with abstract shapes and colors. Her infusion of geometric designs, bold brush strokes, and unique color combinations pushes her art from realism to the abstract.
Since she could hold a pencil, Kristine has been drawing. As a child, she aspired to be a courtroom sketch artist because of her love of portraiture. Kristine earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Cal Poly in San Louis Obispo, California and continued in her art, finding beauty in the world around her.
Her distinctive color palettes pull from muted desert sunrises to the brightly dotted beaches she frequents with her husband and three young children.
