images collected from vintage books.I collect and sort hundreds and hundreds of images from antique books. I group them by theme and over time amass enough of a certain theme to create an artwork.Some of these little images are from vintage books of up to approx 70 years old. I am particularly drawn to the vintage imagery that's created using old litho print methods. The colours of the landscapes are often a violet or green hue.The old plates are carefully extracted from the books, bonded onto birch plywood boards giving them a textured hand-painted surface texture. The sheets are then laser cut into these 3cm dots.Framed size: 55cm x 55cm Available framed in a white or black box frame. We use museum quality UV perspex glaze to protect the artwork from fade. Carefully wrapped and packaged inside a custom-made box with protective corners for safe shipping worldwide.
