Old Pattern began with the dried leaf of a plant. As the leaf lost its softness and colour, the structure beneath its living surface became more pronounced, revealing a delicate network shaped by growth and time.
Photographed at microscopic scale, these organic details appeared like an ancient pattern or an unfamiliar map. The image was artistically transformed into abstraction, magnifying the quiet beauty of decay and reflecting on the cycles through which living matter continually changes form.
