This ba rtop is created from a single red oak tree that was salvaged from a construction site in Alexandria, Kentucky. We milled, dried and machined the wood ourselves to create this one of a kind treasure. The bar top is 4 inches thick and built in three pieces to allow the bend. The pieces are mortise and tenon joined, just like the barns of yesteryear.. The end includes part of the root burl which had a inclusion in the center that was filled with a specialized concrete to match the concrete bar back counter which we also made of this same concrete. The face is corrugated metal roofing salvaged from local Kentucky barns.

Using yesterday's materials to make tomorrow's heirlooms.

Creating is what I’ve always done. As a boy, I was forever carving on a hunk of wood, building with different media and found objects, and sneaking into Dad’s workshop to experiment with the forbidden power tools!

I just never thought I could do what I loved for a living. I saw only one option. Since I’m from a three-generation construction family, I chose to follow in their footsteps, operating heavy equipment. And, that’s what I did for almost 20 years.

Then, I had an accident on a construction site, which ended my career in the excavation field. Although this setback presented a challenge, it was what opened the door to my dream job.

Now, I’m doing what I was meant to do all along – I design, create, and build furniture and interiors for both your home and commercial space. From re-imagining or re-upholstering your favorite heirloom, to creating a custom piece of furniture from “tree to table,” or designing the perfect vibe for your commercial space, I can bring your vision into reality.

It would be an honor and privilege to be your creative partner.
