Every image is the result of experimentation and exploration in the pursuit of creating fresh beauty
Beauty in my mind is central to art. Whether its the beauty of an idea or the grace of a person's walk, its the core of what makes a work of art. Art without beauty is like a mind without thought. Its the essence of art. With rare exception, beauty fades upon overexposure and needs re-invention. Fresh beauty that stirs the senses is what I aspire to create and its only through processes and experimentation that I am able to create the images I make. For me, the most rewarding aspect of working digitally is that possibility of experimenting without the fear of losing whatever has been done.
The person I am was formed by my experience of life in India, The US and then China. India created a basic decency within me and awoke the desire in me to explore the physical world and the world of ideas. The US helped me understand original thinking and made me aware of my ability to create art. China , contrary to its image, taught me humility , patience and calmed the aggressive energy within me.
