"New Mexico" is inspired by a trip through the state taking in the vast terracotta and clay tinted canyons and rustic landscape. It is a textured acrylic painting on heavyweight paper with collage pieces added. Layers of paint create texture while the stripes represent the stone layers in the landscape.

Together, these places remind me of the enduring importance of keeping nature close in our ever-modern world.
