Nebula is a collaboration of Opus Art Collective and Xiaojing Yan to create an intimate Nebula for your own personal collection. In the spirit of Xiaojing's large scale installation Nebula, of worlds and experiences colliding and collapsing, this piece has been created to share in the rebirth we are all experiencing, coming out from the cloud of the last two years into a burst of infinite possibilities.

Inspired by volcanic eruptions and cosmic explosions, Xiaojing Yan suspended thousands of beads of lava stone on golden thread to create Nebula, a six meter high installation exhibited at the Hermès Maison, Shanghai, China in 2019.

❛ Just as volcanic activity destroys landscapes only to create new, fertile land, and the collapse of astronomical clouds leads to the birth of new stars, Yan’s work represents the moment where all past experiences collide to form a burst of infinite possibilities.‎‎ ❜ - Chao Dan

OAP is an art consultancy specializing in bespoke hospitality, residential and commercial design projects and luxury brands. We thoughtfully tailor exceptional fine art collections to discerning clients, both locally and internationally.

Opus Art Projects is a collaboration between Laura Wood and Dawn Tyrrell; Art consultants / creatives who are wholeheartedly passionate about art. Their vision is to bring about meaningful emotions that resonate with viewers.

LAURA WOOD honed her expert art consulting skills working more than 15 years at a distinguished art consultancy firm where she was an exemplary art director. She led and contributed to numerous high-profile projects, such as: St. Regis Museum Hotel San Francisco; Four Seasons Hotels in Toronto, NY, Boston; W Hotel Taipei; St. Regis Hotel Resort Bal Harbour; and Printemps Department Store Paris. Her aptitude in this respect is remarkable, largely due to her also being a gifted artist. She has years of experience on both sides of the art world, which makes her a masterful art consultant.

DAWN TYRRELL has a background in set painting, gallery direction and art consulting, giving her comprehensive insight across the art world. While working on many luxury projects, including Four Seasons Hotels in Dubai, Kuwait, Orlando; Cafe Boulud in Four Seasons Toronto; W Hotel Guangzhou; and Waldorf Astoria Hotel Beijing, Dawn sharpened her art, design, and administrative skills which she now employs to expertly facilitate all aspects of the art consulting process.

Both Laura and Dawn choose meaning as the focus of their practice. They believe great art collections are curated with content, engaging viewers with connection and beauty.
