Design Inspiration
The Cepa Udaipur collection draws inspiration from the illuminated facades and patterned openings found throughout northern India and Rajasthan’s architectural heritage. The perforated ceramic surface mimics the feeling of light escaping from interior courtyards and night-lit windows, reinterpreted into a contemporary sculptural pendant.
The organic bulb-like silhouette references the layered form of the onion bulb symbolizing openness, warmth, and connection to nature. As light filters through the cut ceramic openings, the pendant creates dynamic shadow play reminiscent of traditional jali and jharokha architecture.

Each Cepa Udaipur pendant is individually handcrafted in high-fired stoneware ceramic and hand-finished in our workshop.
The intricate cutwork is carefully carved and refined by hand before firing, allowing the ceramic body itself to become both structure and diffuser.
