Commission for the City of Tacoma's Prairie Line Trail. After four months of research and collaboration with historians and the Puyallup tribe of Tacoma, our team designed and installed this contemporary historical mural downtown on the back of 7Seas Brewing. The mural, entitled 'Working Forward, Weaving Anew', begins on the left with stories of the cedar tree from the perspective of the first people's in the Puyallup tribe. As the mural moves to the right, the history of cedar becomes a story of European commodities and production in the growing city of Tacoma.

I LOVE PAINTING MURALS. AVAILABLE FOR HIRE TO DESIGN AND PAINT ORIGINAL ARTWORK ON PREEXISTING SURFACES.

Jessilyn is fired up about paintings that tell awe-inspiring larger than life stories. She believes art has the power to create a sense of place, to inspire hope and beauty in a grey concrete world, and to bring communities together to work on a visionary project for all.

From the Pacific Northwestern forests of Southern Oregon, Jessilyn completed her degree from the University of Oregon in Fine Art and Communication to continue on as illustrator, educator and muralist throughout the U.S.
