This mobile stainless steel object combines solid sheet metal with laser-cut mesh originally used in the fabrication of medical components, reimagined as a structural and visual element. The piece includes an open lower shelf and an upper recessed compartment that functions as an open drawer.

Industrial casters add mobility and introduce a more playful character, creating a deliberate contrast with the object’s otherwise architectural form. Designed to sit between function and sculpture.

ALUST is a design studio working at the intersection of material and form. We create sculptural objects in stainless steel and aluminum — pieces that carry presence, define space, and resist the logic of mass production. Each work is intentional, fabricated in limited quantities or as a singular expression.
Our practice approaches each piece as an evolving study: no form is final, and every object is part of a continuous exploration of proportion, light, and spatial tension.
Alongside our limited releases, ALUST collaborates with architects and designers on bespoke works shaped to their environments, from sculptural furniture to architectural elements.
