Two unframed 24h x 18w" unique cyanotypes printed on heavy cotton watercolor paper. Straight edges, not deckled edges.
If matted and framed to 30 x 24" each, they will span over 4 feet horizontally.
*Right print is one shade darker compared to left print.
Though this looks like a woodcut or linocut, it is not. This is a cyanotype, a kind of lensless photography dating back to the 1800s, but I have experimented with the chemicals to alter the blue color.
Not the normal navy blue shade, these pale slate blue cyanotypes were made by altering the photo chemical recipe of the antique cyanotype process. As with my other blue cyanotypes, all are one-of-a kind monotypes made from living plants. There is no etched metal plate nor carved wooden block to make a second identical print.
