The Concept
Inspired by the legendary private collection of master collector Zhang Dexiang, this "Sichutou" Southern Official Hat Trio represents a masterly evolution of Ming-style aesthetics by designers Yuchen and Judy. Characterized by a "Grand and Dignified Presence," the set is designed to anchor modern Western executive spaces through a strategic "Aesthetic Conflict"—pairing ancient scholarly integrity with the clean, industrial lines of contemporary minimalism.
The Craft and Material
Meticulously executed in Imperial Amber Goldwood, a sustainable high-density timber featuring luminous amber hues intertwined with midnight obsidian streaks. With an iron-like density that ensures a "Golden Glow," this piece offers a legal, heirloom-quality alternative to traditional endangered hardwoods.
The Ornamentation: Features a sophisticated three-section back splat. The upper section is inlaid with natural marble (Yunshi) landscapes, the center with rare camphor burl for organic texture, and the lower with a "Bright-foot" openwork arch.
The Structure: 100% handcrafted using traditional nail-free mortise and tenon joinery. The backrest is engineered with a precise S-curve to provide superior ergonomic support for long-duration seating.
The Finish: A natural deep luster that highlights the intricate grain, creating a visual tension that is both warm and commanding.
