Picture it: Milan, 2022 AD. Our dinner plans had just fallen through, so we wandered the cobblestone streets in search of a bite. That's when we spotted a cozy little trattoria, and inside, the most charming dog in the world. A local Milanese pup, lounging like she owned the place. She was so irresistible, I had to paint her.

ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Catherine Hébert is a wildlife and animal artist based in Montreal, Canada. She has a background in visual effects and brings that same eye for detail and colour to every painting. Many of her pieces are inspired by real animals she's met. A crow on a hotel balcony in DC, a round pigeon in a Seoul subway station, a pheasant who keeps showing up in her sister's yard in Nova Scotia. She also paints live during her weekly Thursday evening livestream, where viewers hang out, chat, and sometimes even name the paintings!
