The Migration oil candle from Perhacs Studio is a modern take on the traditioal oil lamp. Made from precision machined stainless steel, sustainably harvested wood, and a borosilicate glass tube, combined with a long lasting fiberglass wick. Enjoy a single Migration oil candle or combine them together in different configuration and create an almost infinite array of stunning designs.

THE INSPIRATION / We set out to elevate the traditional oil candle to a new level. In the design process we would think of them in poetic terms, sentient beings with fiery souls migrating in herds across the desert at night, their flames lighting the way as they travel. We hope that you enjoy them as much as we do... Happy burning! Made by Perhacs Studio in Los Angeles California ;)

This set of two oil candles comes in an exquisitely designed custom laser cut package that includes a card with example photographs, info/instruction sheet, stainless steel funnel, and fill gauge.

Perhacs Studio is a sustainably/aesthetically minded multidisciplinary design studio based in Los Angeles. We give a shit about the process ;)

Born in Port Townsend, Washington, Brandon Perhacs spent his formative years playing and working in his parents bronze foundry and machine shop. There he learned multiple skills, and developed a passion for sculpture and design.

After high school, for a number of years, he ran a metal fabrication and machine shop in Seattle. In 2001 he headed to Southern California to study environmental design at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA. Upon returning to the Pacific Northwest after school, he designed and built a concrete, steel, and glass home, studio, and gallery, where Perhacs Studio was based for over 12 years. In March of 2018 he moved his office and studio to Los Angeles.

Over the years, his interests and creative passions have spanned the gamut from industrial design to lighting, sculpture, jewelry, packaging design, furniture, architecture, and interior design.

Brandon’s designs have been featured in design stores and museums around the world, including the Museum of Modern Art in NYC, and the Red Dot Design Museum in Singapore.

He also has a fondness for rust, concrete, hot rolled steel, Turrell, Rilke, the desert, cheap beer, expensive whiskey, cats, and extremely spicy food...
