This simple yet classic design maximizes seating for six up to eight. The 1” thick solid hardwood top is sturdy and has a chamfered edges which makes it appear even lighter. The table’s gently tapered legs (optional) are each connected to a thin apron of solid cherry with solid tenons. This table is great for smaller spaces and can use benches on one side for even more flexible seating. Finished in 4 coats of hand rubbed varnish or urethane.

Depending on the size, the table can seat people at both ends as well as two to three people per side

Handcrafted furniture delivering elegant solutions that celebrate simple lines, natural grain, and timeless design.

I am a Connecticut furniture designer and maker. My workshop is located on a bluff above the Shepaug River in Washington Depot, a small village located in the rolling hills of Litchfield County, Connecticut. I design and build hand-crafted furniture to meet your design needs and express my creativity, using carefully selected wood and following the esthetics of simplicity, exposed joinery, and letting the form shine without unnecessary embellishments. My work follows the simplicity of design in the spirit of Nakashima, Mid-Century Modern, Arts & Crafts, Prairie School of Design, and Shaker principles.

All of my pieces are created for clients, with many options in dimensions and wood species, as well as door and drawer layouts.
