This urn possess a rugged beauty. It has been inspired by the Indian/Arabic water containers. This has been partly wheel thrown and then finished by coiling. The texture has been incorporated intuitively with oxides, slips and glazes. The mouth of the urn signals its everyday use in the past. it has been high fired to 1280C and is fully water tight so can be functionally used too. An ancient shape that sits and harmonises very well in all contemporary decors.
