Marine Sculptural Vase.

This ceramic vase was inspired by underwater world. Creating this piece gave me a lot of joy, I let my imagination guide it. The vase vaguely resembles a coral. The form is minimalistic but textured elements draw your attention want to explore the subtle details. The natural brushwork retains the elegant seashore quality of nature’s work. The subtle contrast between light pink sponge holes and sand color and texture on the main body adds organic feel.

This large vase is hand formed from clay coils and has multiple stains and washes applications. The vase is high fired in electric kiln. It is functional and will look gorgeous with one or two long stem flowers, yet it is an interesting, organic décor piece. it looks great as a stand-alone decorative piece.

The vase is 9.5" tall x 6.5" wide.

Transforming nature's inspirations into organic ceramic forms

Originally from St. Petersburg, Russia, I have always felt a deep connection to art. My early career began as Marketing Director at the Museum of the History of St. Petersburg (Peter & Paul Fortress). I collaborated with renowned Russian artists and held senior marketing roles.

Extensive travel across the globe enriched my understanding of diverse cultures and artistic traditions. It deepened my appreciation for the beauty found in everyday life.

For years, I dreamed of working with clay. That dream came true when I enrolled in my first ceramics course at the University of Cincinnati’s College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning. I was instantly captivated. Clay quickly became a vital part of my life. It inspired me to transition from a successful corporate career to fully embrace this creative path. I completed intensive training in ceramic disciplines, including all advanced courses offered at the university’s fine arts program.

After relocating to San Diego, I became a member of Clay Artists of San Diego, Oceanside Museum of Art and Art Alliance, Escondido Art Partnership, and Fallbrook Art Center. My work has been featured in fine art catalogues like APERO and online galleries like Saatchi Art. In addition, I exhibited my work in numerous solo and group shows, and honored with multiple awards.
