The Colgada Side Table is a compact sculptural stainless steel and marble side table by Nitush Aroosh, part of the Colgado Collection. A polished mineral surface rests above a sculpted steel base twisted and folded like compressed material under load — the collection's full architectural ambition concentrated in a small footprint.
Each base is shaped through hydroforming and subsequently compressed and folded by hand, with the resulting surfaces bearing the visible evidence of force — folds and impressions that record the pressure of their making.
Polished steel catches and distorts surrounding light across those folded forms. The marble above absorbs and retains colour without distortion, making the steel appear even more energised and alive by comparison.
Compact but visually substantial, the Colgada Side Table brings the collection's material tension into close proximity — the contrast between cool stone and forcefully worked steel at its most direct at this scale.
Nitush Aroosh is a collectible design studio founded in New Delhi by brothers Nitush and Aroosh Mahipal — self-taught makers who transform stainless steel through hydroforming and hand-hammering into sculptural furniture and lighting.
