The Colgada Coffee Table is a sculptural stainless steel and marble coffee table by Nitush Aroosh, part of the Colgado Collection. A free-form stone top rests on polished stainless steel volumes resembling compressed masses — steel folded and pressured as though holding enormous internal force at the precise moment of release.

Each base is shaped through hydroforming then compressed and folded by hand, producing forms that bear the visible marks of that force — impressions and folds that make the process legible in the finished surface.

The polished steel distributes and distorts surrounding light across those folded forms. Against the stillness of marble — which absorbs and retains colour without distortion — the steel reads as all the more dynamic and alive.

Architecturally scaled and materially bold, the Colgada Coffee Table anchors a living space through presence and surface complexity. The free-form stone top means no two tables are ever identical.

Nitush Aroosh is the New Delhi-based collectible design studio of brothers Nitush and Aroosh Mahipal. Their practice uses hydroforming and hand-hammering to push stainless steel beyond its industrial origins — into forms that are fluid, reflective, and alive with light.

Nitush and Aroosh Mahipal are the self-taught brothers behind the Nitush Aroosh design practice in Delhi, India. They specialize in collectible sculptural furniture and lighting. Using hydroforming, they shape stainless steel with high-pressure water to create fluid, mirror-polished forms that evoke flowing water. Their hands-on roots in their father's workshop inspire a fresh, global take on design, with hand-finished pieces that feature crisp contours and unique textures. These innovative works have been showcased worldwide, from 3daysofdesign in Copenhagen to London Craft Week and Galerie Paradis in Paris.
