Solid maple desk with cantilevered top to avoid having front legs in your way. Perfect for use as a home office or library desk. The base, legs and top are pegged with cherry dowels for an extremely strong joint. The top is 1” thick solid maple with a gentle chamfered top to give the top a lighter feel. The large drawer glides on wooden rails with full extension and an angled drawer front. The desk can be built to any custom dimensions required.

Handcrafted furniture delivering elegant solutions that celebrate simple lines, natural grain, and timeless design.

I am a Connecticut furniture designer and maker. My workshop is located on a bluff above the Shepaug River in Washington Depot, a small village located in the rolling hills of Litchfield County, Connecticut. I design and build hand-crafted furniture to meet your design needs and express my creativity, using carefully selected wood and following the esthetics of simplicity, exposed joinery, and letting the form shine without unnecessary embellishments. My work follows the simplicity of design in the spirit of Nakashima, Mid-Century Modern, Arts & Crafts, Prairie School of Design, and Shaker principles.

All of my pieces are created for clients, with many options in dimensions and wood species, as well as door and drawer layouts.
