“Map of the Soul” transforms the visual language of cartography and architecture into an inner landscape. Bold geometric forms and layered color fields chart the shifting terrain between logic and emotion—between the city’s physical grid and the psyche’s invisible architecture. Green and pink zones pulse like emotional districts, while intersecting lines and windows hint at pathways of memory, intuition, and self-discovery. The result is both a plan and a labyrinth: a map that doesn’t guide outward, but inward.

I was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina and moved to Northern California in 2000. I've always been involved in the Arts - first in literature obtaining a MA in Spanish from Stanford University and a PhD in Hispanic Literature from UC Berkeley, and later in the visual arts getting an MFA in Film Directing from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, CA. I also worked as a photographer for many years.

Some years ago, a stress-induced illness made me come back to my childhood passion - painting - as a way of healing and calming my nervous system. Little did I know that the Universe was guiding me to find my own true unique expression. Copper Rose Art was born and I now can’t imagine a life without painting.

The inspiration for my work sits at the intersection of youthful play, urban iconography informed by my native Buenos Aires and architectural elements that hark back to my recollections of seeing my architect father craft his construction blueprints. But perhaps more important than these external elements are my emotions. The surface where I paint becomes a dialogue between personal introspection and the bustling scenes that surround me. By utilizing a diverse palette and expressive forms, I invite the viewer to immerse themselves in a journey of discovery, challenging perceptions and inspiring a deeper appreciation of our shared environments. Drawing inspiration from the expressive energies of Cy Twombly and Jean Dubuffet, I delve into the chaotic yet structured essence of life where opposites converge - typically creating two dimensional planes.
