The mantis chair is designed with a relaxed body position and hand-sculpted for comfort. This lounge chair is geometrically configured to fit your body perfectly. Hand-made by the artist from start to finish with hand-selected dry kiln wood.

Kokora Fine furniture

kokora, a modern furniture studio based in California, was co-founded by designer and artist couple, Nicole & Nostir.

Nostir’s career began in England and Japan at a very young age as an apprentice to his grandfather, a fine furniture maker who studied design and joinery in Japan. Nostir’s modern furniture designs and home installations have taken him around the globe. He now calls Los Angeles his home and this was where he met Nicole, who has a diverse background in interior design, ceramics, and marketing.

With over 40 years of experience, we created kokora to offer bespoke wood furnishings, home installations, and luxury lifestyle products that bring harmony, balance, and sustainability into each space.

At kokora, we believe that your home is your sanctuary and a place where peace and nurturing are essential to create and thrive. Founded on the principle of sustainability, kokora’s mission is to create luxury furniture for everyday use that lasts for generations.
