This fascinating ornament is an actual Ceranchia wild silk cocoon in its natural undyed state. Ceranchia is a species of wild silk which is only found in Madagascar. It has a unique inner and outer cocoon, which make this natural wonder a beautiful conversation piece. Its natural golden color shimmers adding a festive sparkle to your home.
Our farmers use a sustainable harvesting technique when collecting wild silk cocoons so as not to harm the local silkworm population. In fact, every purchase promotes conservation efforts for this endemic species.
