We took a photo safari in Tanzania a decade ago. During our travels we visited a Maasai boma (village) and were quests of the chief's wives. I asked if they would allow me to photograph each of them and later paint their portraits. They were quite excited to all participate and the paintings came out successfully. Our guide took them images of the completed paintings.
