This was inspired by my artist residency in Nantucket. I was so taken by the light and I spent a lot of time at the beach just looking at the ocean and thinking about the idea of waves and tides in relation to our experience. When the tide is low, there’s a whole little world of of shells and creatures left behind that had been immersed in the water only a few hours ago. And the idea that a tide comes and goes, over and over always revealing something new to explore.
