The cypress spent generations submerged underwater, where time and its environment helped preserve the timber while developing the depth, color, and character that make sinker cypress so sought after. The dramatic pecky pattern creates natural pockets and channels throughout the slab, which have been filled with black epoxy to emphasize every intricate detail.
Rather than covering the imperfections that developed over centuries, this design celebrates them.
