The Golden Hour Queen Quilt, inspired by the magical golden hour that’s amplified in coastal California, uses just two colors and two shapes to capture the simple beauty of this time of day. The central circle represents the setting sun, with half square triangles radiating outwards, casting golden light over everything. This simple design highlights the geometric shapes. With its large-scale piecing and reliance on negative space, it’s clearly modern, but remains timeless.

Queen: 90” x 90”, fits a full or queen size bed
MATERIALS
Top: Yarrow and Natural cotton
Binding: Yarrow cotton
Back: Unbleached cotton
Batting: Thick US-grown 100% cotton
PROCESS
Machine pieced, quilted and bound
Please note the quilting design is slightly different than in the photos

Each quilt is made to order just for you. Please allow 3 - 4 weeks for production.
CARE
Machine wash delicate in cold water with a gentle detergent. Tumble dry low or hang to dry.
Fabric will crinkle slightly after the first wash and will soften with use + love.
HANGING SLEEVE OPTION
Add a hanging sleeve to turn your quilt into a piece of wall art. The sleeve is made with the same fabric as the quilt back and lies flat when not hanging, so you can still use it as a quilt.
STORY
There’s something about the California coast that amplifies the magical, golden quality of light the hour or so before sunset. It may be the sea spray floating in the air that creates an atmosphere and depth of field that’s unlike any other time of the day, but it’s breathtakingly beautiful. Everything during that hour looks magical, almost sparkly, and it’s what made me fall in love with California. The Golden Hour Queen Quilt was inspired by that glittery gold moment of the day—one that’s meant to be captured and shared.
