After the Divide — Light II
Photographic print by Ava Bock | Limited Edition of 10

A quiet study of structure and illumination, this work isolates sculptural form through soft daylight, restrained composition, and subtle tonal variation. Curved intersections create a network of circular openings, allowing light to move through the surface and reveal the material’s gentle translucency.

Part of the After the Divide — Light series, this image translates a three-dimensional sculpture into a flattened photographic field. The composition focuses on the balance between void and structure, where circles function as both openings and anchors within the frame.

Printed at 16 × 24 inches on Hahnemühle Photo Pearl paper, this digitally signed limited edition of 10 is offered as a print only. This allows the buyer to select the mat and frame that best fit their space, interior palette, and installation needs.

Designed for contemporary interiors, the work brings brightness, clarity, and quiet architectural presence while maintaining a minimal visual language grounded in form, material, and light.

Quiet works for intentional spaces.

Ava Bock is an American abstract artist working across surface, relief, and object. Based in Eugene, Oregon, her practice includes photographic prints, drawings, paintings, reliefs, and sculptural works that explore how form, material, light, and structure shape perception within a space.

Initially trained in photography and digital imaging, Ava brings a refined sensitivity to composition, transparency, and light into her material-based practice. She earned her BFA in Sculpture from the University of North Carolina at Asheville, where she specialized in industrial materials and developed a slow, reductive approach grounded in material restraint and spatial awareness.

Her work is organized through a limited formal vocabulary, most notably the circle and the square. Within the practice, these forms function as fixed structural elements: the circle as a marker of life, continuity, and recurrence; the square as a marker of structure, containment, and constructed space.

Available works include limited edition photographic prints, one-of-a-kind drawings, paintings, reliefs, and sculptural objects. The work is designed for quiet presence within residential, hospitality, and design-focused interiors, where scale, material, and light can be experienced over time.

Materials include bio-resins, inks, recycled polyester, cast polymers, and archival fine art papers. Sustainability is an ongoing part of the studio’s material and packaging decisions, with attention given to longevity, low-waste methods, and environmentally conscious production.

Each listing identifies whether the work is a limited-edition print, original artwork, or sculptural object. Prints are generally offered unframed, allowing collectors and designers to select matting and framing that best fit the intended space.
