About: Absolutely fascinating village rug with a universe of charm given the many tribal elements throughout. At a glance, you will see shrubs, stars, fish, artistic flowers, mini tree of life motifs, and more. With a little more intention, you may even notice two adorable two children motifs woven in the rug (maybe the mother woven this piece dedicated to her daughters), really beautiful. The perfectly designed Tri-medallions throughout the rug give it an elongated feel making the rug seem larger than it is, only to be offset by the small corner spandrels that anchor the rug and transition into the borders. The field is an example of what small batch dyes look like - earthy rusty-clay color shifts into a darker amber that really warms it up and honors the earthy undertone that the entire rug reads. The rich navy border is offset by the camel-mocha brown guard borders that act as a perfect transition between the border and field. Perhaps one of the most notable characteristics about the entire rug is the combination of this teal-peacock blue hue in the tri-medallions mixed with these highlights of Spring-like sunflower-saffron yellows. It is an absolutely splendid combination - but wait; there’s more... there is this subtle icey-pastel mint green that you’ll find in the border flowers and the highlights throughout the field in the filler motifs as we that use just sensational. The dyes and colors in this rug are out of this world. You will look at this rug and marvel at how playful it is, and you’ll notice asymmetrical elements as you navigate from one half to the other. It truly is a recess for the eye and pure village life at its best with unusual color combinations, genuine abrash through in the canvas of the rug, and an all in all really handsome piece that looks 100x better in person - trust me! You will LOVE this piece.

This rug is one-of-a-kind, only one available.

Because of the nature and age of these older/antique handmade pieces, irregularities and age-related wear are likely to exist and are not considered defects.

We always recommend a high-quality custom cut pad for any and all rugs; these pads are made for hand-knotted rugs. They create a body and support the knots of the rug, as well as prevent it from slipping and sliding.
