Experience the architectural elegance of the Ming Dynasty. A timeless legacy, breathing in your living space.
The Concept
This "Four-Ends Extended" Official's Hat Chair (Sichutou Guanmaoyi) Trio represents the pinnacle of Ming Dynasty scholar-official furniture, reimagined by designers Yuchen and Judy for the contemporary executive suite. The collection centers on the "Conflict Aesthetic"—using the upright integrity, disciplined lines, and structural warmth of the Ming form to provide a profound visual counterpoint to the cold stone, glass, and industrial minimalism of modern Western business environments.
The Craft and Material
Meticulously executed in Imperial Midnight Black-Gold, a legendary timber celebrated for its iron-like, sinking-grade density. The visual profile features a deep nocturnal black interlaced with cold, crystalline gold streaks.
The Carving: Features a backsplat inlaid with fine Boxwood (Huangyangmu), hand-chiseled with the "Double Dragons Rising from the Sea" (Shuanglong Chuahai) totem—a symbol of power, protective energy, and the indomitable spirit of the scholar.
The Engineering: Employs the "Four Legs from One Timber" technique, requiring massive, flawless material to ensure absolute structural and visual continuity from top to bottom.
The Structure: 100% handcrafted using traditional nail-free mortise and tenon joinery. Every curve is precision-engineered to bridge the gap between Eastern heritage and the modern elite lifestyle.
The Philosophy: A harmonious synthesis where Eastern tradition meets Western elite culture, designed to bridge seven millennia of craftsmanship with a living sanctuary in the modern home.

Artisan Note
As a bespoke work created using high-density natural materials and traditional hand tools, each piece possesses a singular character. The unique black-gold grain, the tactile "obsidian" weight, and the intricate boxwood relief are the fingerprints of the artisan. Please note that the luster of the wood may shift in tone depending on ambient lighting and digital display settings.
