Inspired by the rare Shijin Taishi Chair from the Humble Administrator's Garden in Suzhou, this trio represents a masterly evolution of Eastern aesthetics by designers Yuchen and Judy. Originally a symbol of authority and scholarly dignity, this set is designed to anchor modern Western executive spaces through a strategic "Aesthetic Conflict"—using the warmth and rigorous structural purity of the Ming form to provide a profound counterpoint to the cold stone and industrial minimalism of contemporary business environments.
The Craft and Material
Meticulously executed in Imperial Cinnabar Ironwood, a legendary timber with a "Cinnabar soul in an iron-clad body." Bathed in the sacred crimson glow of ancient Ming Dynasty altars, this sinking-grade wood possesses a density that anchors a room with its physical weight and historical dignity.
The Inlay: Features rare natural Gall wood (Burl wood) backsplats, where the swirling, intricate grain creates a unique organic contrast to the linear precision of the chair frame.
The Engineering: Employs the "Four Legs from One Timber" technique, ensuring absolute structural and visual continuity from a single, defect-free block of wood.
