Experience the architectural elegance of the Ming Dynasty. A timeless legacy, breathing in your living space.
The Concept
Inspired by the legendary collection of Robert Hatfield Ellsworth, the "Godfather of Ming Furniture," this Horseshoe Armchair Trio represents a masterly evolution of Eastern aesthetics by designers Yuchen and Judy. This set is designed to anchor modern Western executive spaces through a strategic "Aesthetic Conflict"—using the warmth, upright lines, and structural purity of the Ming form to provide a profound counterpoint to the cold stone and industrial minimalism of contemporary business environments.
The Craft and Material
Meticulously executed in Royal Crimson Flamewood, a rare timber celebrated for its molten magma-like red and black grain. Possessing an iron-like density that sinks in water, this "Sea-Calming" heavy timber ensures a presence of absolute stability and eternal value.
The Details: Features a sophisticated "Haitang" (Begonia) openwork carving on the backsplat, symbolizing scholarly integrity and refined grace.
The Engineering: Employs the "Four Legs from One Timber" technique, requiring flawless, large-scale material to ensure absolute structural and visual continuity.
The Structure: 100% handcrafted using traditional nail-free mortise and tenon joinery. Every curve is precision-engineered to reflect the strict laws of classical Chinese ergonomics.
