Laminar is a sculptural floor lamp inspired by the natural phenomenon of laminar flow where motion is smooth, continuous, and uninterrupted. Translating this idea into architectural lighting, the design features layered ceramic and wood elements that gently filter and guide light through a vertical composition.
The result is a calming ambient glow paired with soft shadow play, creating a sense of rhythm and movement within stillness.
Designed as a statement floor lighting object, Laminar brings quiet visual depth to both residential and hospitality interiors.

Laminar is rooted in the study of flow both natural and visual. The design draws from fluid dynamics, where light moves through layers much like water moving in parallel streams.
This idea is translated into stacked ceramic forms that surround a central illuminated axis, allowing light to emerge gradually through each layer.
The intention is not to dominate space, but to create a soft architectural presence that reshapes atmosphere through light.
