This painting is part of a series of work that I completed after returning home from a trip to California with some friends. When I travel I feel especially assaulted by the senses of new stimulation. The vibrant landscape, the weather and the colours of the area really motivated these effervescent works. If you look closely there are loosely figurative hints of a beach in this abstract painting.
