The relationship between the moon and women is an ancient symbol based on the connection between their natural cycles. The lunar cycle lasts approximately 28 days, just like the average menstrual cycle in women. Both share four stages of varying energy, ranging from renewal to fullness to rest.
In this painting, a woman embraces the full moon precisely to highlight this connection and emphasise intuition, femininity, and sensuality—all represented by feminine energy.
