La Fleur Fanée by Vincent Decat is the first piece in a new series of objects: the Lueur series, launched in 2025.
The lamp was designed with the idea that we can develop an emotional attachment to objects. The stronger the bond, the more we tend to care for them, protect them, and keep them over time. Inspired by nature in motion, La Fleur Fanée captures the moment when a flower withers, a moment that reflects both decline and a sense of hope and resilience.
This lamp is a hybrid piece, born from the fusion of two techniques that rarely meet. On one side, gilding, a traditional craft dating back to antiquity, rooted in history, precision, and handwork. On the other, 3D printing, a modern tool that allows total freedom of form and experimentation.
The piece was fully crafted by the artist, who worked closely with gilding experts in Paris to understand and respect the depth of this ancestral technique.
