Quirky smiling figure sculpture inspired by the iconic British candy, Jelly Babies. Featured in The Independent, Vogue Netherlands, designboom, Creapills France, Athens Voice and My Modern Met.

Perfect for both private clients and public art commissioners, these sculptures are suitable for children's play areas, modern interiors, mixed-use corporate spaces and exterior recreation areas. Can be customized with colors of your choice, specific sizes (larger or smaller), monogrammed bellies and dynamic poses. Every aspect of the sculpture is hand made and hand finished by the artist.

Comprises hand molded, sealed fiberglass shell with a brilliant white polyester resin decorative skin. Within this white skin are embedded thousands of hand cast, highly-colored, translucent resin cylinders. These cylinders create a dazzling effect - small, three-dimensional ‘pools' of color glow and shimmer in the sunlight. This skin is then sanded multiple times to render an ultra-smooth and highly tactile finish.

Note: Price listed is for the small sculpture. For a larger sized figure or multiple figures, please contact us for special pricing.

Original and distinctive sculpture for children and the child at heart!

Founded in 2011, uckiood is the studio of Swedish-American and British artists, Kim Rask and Missy Douglas. Missy is a former tutor of art history and fine art, holding a B.A. (Hons), M.A. and Ph.D in History of Art from the University of Cambridge, UK. Kim is an alumnus of the University of Washington with a background in animation, sound and design.

With initial bases in Brussels, Belgium and New York City, they immediately made a profound impact with their striking, bold - and often divisive - portfolio. They now work out of their Seattle studio, creating mixed-media sculpture and installations. Their current work utilizes the visual language of childhood to explore the concept of outsiderness/otherness.

They have exhibited across the US and Europe in both solo and group shows and their work has been selected for long-term and permanent public art placement. They have secured a wide range of festival and large event contracts, and have worked with government bodies, non-profit organisations and prominent corporate clients such as Facebook and Amazon.

Their award-nominated work is held in high-profile, private and corporate collections across the world, and has been featured in major news and culture/lifestyle publications such as BBC World News & Radio, The Independent (UK), Vogue (NL), designboom, My Modern Met, Psychology Today, Shanghai Daily, The Stranger, and Athens Voice, as well as being the subject of a 2018 webMD documentary and a 2021 Shine News podcast.
