Jaso Lees designed and built the eight-foot-tall wine storage cabinet, display/point-of-sale cabinet, window display shelves, and wall-mounted storage shelves for Marla Bakery Restaurant.
The inspiration for the designs was a modern take on the simplicity, functionality and communality of Shaker Furniture. They mixed “character” walnut (with streaks of light sapwood), maple, and veneered Europly plywood to get the right blend of rustic and modern ingredients that characterize the space.
