Historically reserved exclusively for imperial garments at the Jiangning Imperial Silk Manufacturing Department, Yunjin is the absolute pinnacle of ancient Chinese weaving. It is an art form so demanding and precise—intertwining complex gold, silver, and vibrant silk threads—that it remains impossible to fully mechanize even today.
This awe-inspiring Eight Auspicious Symbols (Ashtamangala) Thangka is not printed or painted; it is painstakingly hand-woven by master artisans.
