This mixed-media painting captures the excitement of driving on a small highway next to the St Louis River. It is created with beeswax and botanical pigments on a heavy weight cotton paper, and each color source is handmade by the artist and include botanical sources of oak gall, black walnut, cochineal, buckthorn berries, and Japanese indigo.

The artwork is mounted on a hardwood cradle with an acid-free wheat paste and framed with a poplar floater frame with natural finish. Signed on the bottom left; ready to hang.
