Space was scarce in our entryways. We wanted a shoe-free entrance which would increase space and improve circulation near the doorways. The flat shoe racks were taking up too much space, so we decided to place them vertically.

We tested the various prototypes until we obtained a durable, solid, clean and high quality product.

The Avril shoe rack is easy to wash, to hang on the wall and to unhook. Installation is as simple as maintenance.

The Avril fits perfectly on any wall, helps saving space, and is designed to last for years.

Available in textured black and matte white.

Made locally in Quebec, like all our products.

Design must be adaptative, and functionnal. Quality last for decades.

Ylisse is a storage design company founded by Hubert Therrien.

I grew up surrounded by artists. My mother is a painter, she is an example of sheer creativity. She is always pushing her boundaries to this day. My father was a man of many projects. He was a socialite, a local comedian, a welder, and a builder.

I did airbrush painting for a long time: canvas, motorcycle tank, and murals. I was clearly inspired by both my parent with creativity, and a willingness to build projects from scratch.

When we bought a house, I looked for exciting design. It fueled my passion for designer furniture. After renovating a few vintage items, I wanted to try on my own. I used the contact established during my airbrush years to help me create a line of products that would transform my mid-century house into a functional and exciting one.

I surrounded myself with experts to achieve the best results, and to bring high quality products to the market.

I am now sharing my results with you!
