My love of nature and the calmness of water inspired this detailed textured abstract of a hidden waterfall. I used molding paste, sponge technique, brushes and my hands to create the illusion of a real waterfall. Blues, turquoises , and whites make up the color scheme. 36x48x2

Bold, textured, abstract acrylic and mixed media artwork.

I am a self taught artist that was born and raised in northern Illinois. I currently reside in Arlington, Texas. I have been drawing and painting since I was a child, but spent the majority of my youth, showing and breeding Arabian horses. This led me to truly appreciate the beauty of animals and the nature that surrounds them. I started creating artwork as a business over 10 years ago now.
I use a variety of mediums including molding paste, gesso, oil, metallic, and acrylic paints on stretched canvas.
I create an expressionistic style by using brushes, sponges, spray techniques, and my hands.
My vision is to create each piece with a vibrant boldness and a heart of its own.
Abstract and mixed media are my main styles.
Thus leading to my motto, " Art makes the world a more beautiful place for those who choose to observe it" Liz Johnston.
