This vase seduces with its electric blue color which is typical for the mediterranean. I threw this one of a kind vase on the pottery wheel in my studio on the coast just south of Barcelona. I used white stoneware clay and applied a semi matte mediterranean blue glaze. The vase can be used with fresh flowers as it is leak proof. Also use it for your kitchen or bathroom utensils or just by itself.

Handmade functional tableware and funky sculptural ceramics

Inspired by the waves of the ocean and the textures of the coastline, I throw my pieces on the pottery wheel and then alter them using hand building techniques. I like to experiment with shapes and I develop my own glazes. Opening the kiln after the firing is always thrilling because only then you know if your idea worked out.
