The graceful arcs of this botanical painting call to mind Chinese ink brush paintings or Japanese textiles. The silhouette is that of a money tree, a plant traditionally believed to bring good luck.
The leaves are painted in a brilliant lime green color and the sky is a more muted pistachio green. The 1.5" deep gallery-wrapped sides are clean and white, left unpainted).
This acrylic painting is if from the same series of three, using the same drawing, in the same size as "Sunlight" and "Yellow Leaves", but the colors are different. They were meant to be hung either as a triptych or a diptych, rather the same way that a block print can be printed multiple times in different colored ink. They would look nice hung side by side as a diptych or in the same room or hallway.
