This Art Nouveau Revival inspired surface was handmade, one-of-a-kind, for designer Christopher Grant Ward's 2023 showcase in Pasadena, CA. Imbued with a Polynesian aesthetic, the parabolic arch with deep grooved edges invites communion and friendship. Made from African sustainable mahogany, the table’s six legs invoke a dragonfly, a totem of a free expression. The two center legs are posed in a dancer’s embrace. Hand-inlayed bubinga hard wood contrasts the top surface. This piece can serve easily as a desk, console or accent table. By removing the diagonal spans, it is easily modified to function as a dining room table for six. less
