This meticulously crafted piece is made from salvaged and highly figured black walnut. The top and legs are from the same slab. This piece features hand cut, oversized dovetailed legs. The top highlights an old tree limb, once cut and grown around for many years after.

Simon Silver Designs is a Fine Furniture Studio based in Santa Cruz California whose vision is to breathe new life into fallen trees, and use the beautiful medium that is wood to create masterful pieces. Our life goal is to respect and practice the art of salvaging trees and transforming them into fine hardwood tables, and furniture in the most organic way possible. Each slab of wood that becomes a table can be traced back to an exact location, and reason for being felled, be it by natural causes, due to tree sickness, or danger to a nearby home.
