Part of a series of portraits inspired by the CMYK printing screens where each dot of color is transformed into a hole on the paper.
As with printing, the image is created through the superposition of multiple layers/screens of different colours
The theme of the series is IDENTITY and how it is created from the overlap and interaction of various biological, social and cultural categories such as gender, ethnicity, social class, disability, sexual orientation, religion, caste, age, nationality etc.
This collage has been created repurposing printed paper and wall paper samples and is part of a limited edition of 3 pieces. Each piece will be unique as the paper, the texture and colors are different for each portrait.
