A Memphis design inspired chair that is the sibling to the Phobos but available to the public. In the process of designing the final chair for Cafe Mars we created this chair the deimos. It was the original design for the restaurant but it didn't make the final cut as we felt it was too heavy and there were a few changes we wanted to make. In sticking with the original ethos of the design, any portion of this chair can come painted in a color of your choice.

sustainable contemporary furniture

studio apotroes is an experiment and exploration into what it means to be a furniture company dedicated to sustainability in the 21st century. We marry different design and production methods to craft heirloom quality furniture for customers. All pieces are made using biodegradable or recyclable materials like locally harvested wood, glass, metal, and natural fibers. We work with local producers to source materials for studio apotroes objects. You will never see plastics at studio apotroes, but you may see experimental materials using unconventional raw or recycled materials (think invasive or fallen wood, recycled glass, banana fabrics, or oyster concrete). We are a small design studio that wants customers to love and cherish each piece they bring into their home so production times are longer than convention.
