Lovely balanced organic shapes topped with a minimalist bare bulb. This handmade poplar lamp is 27" to the top of the brass socket cover and 32" total with the 5" globe bulb. The wood is finished with a light pickle but appears basically unfinished. Switch is on the cloth covered cord.

Handmade Objects for the Home

Trained as an industrial designer—with years designing for industry powerhouses like West Elm and David Weeks—Amy's work is the result of an intentional spontaneity that allows the concepts and processes of each piece to inform the final product. Each piece starts with a sketch, followed by a 3D model, glaze trials, technical drawings and, of course, numerous failed attempts.
After years of working exclusively in clay, Perch Objects has recently begun revisiting other materials — namely brass, concrete and wood — embracing a more experimental approach to the process.
